This past weekend was the opening of Beyond Eden 2010, an art fair that brings together some of the West Coast’s top art galleries under one roof. Although I was not able to make it to the event in person I have gathered some photos from you from the festivities. As PaperMonster I want nothing more than to continue to promote the use of stencils whether you are a stencil artists or just someone who wants to use stencils as tool in your paintings or home. I feel that there is no better time than today to document how artists all over the world are using stencils to share their messages or just create something beautiful. That is what has brought me to create this new goal to encourage Juxtapoz Magazine to create a Special Stencil Art Issue. In the past Juxtapoz has created special issues highlighting New York Graffiti, Street Art, and several other themes but never a Stencil Art Issue.
With your help hopefully we can make this a reality!!! HERE IS WHAT YOU CAN DO!!

These past weeks have been full of exciting shows and the upcoming “I am 8-bit” group show is no exception. The lineup of artists is huge and each of the pieces up for show will celebrate videogames to the highest level. It has been great to see such amazing press come out featuring my new stencil art painting “The Return of Samus.” If you are in the Hollywood, California area this is one show that you will not want to miss. Who knows you may see PaperMonster there!!

Make sure to mark you calendars for what will be a massive showing over at Art Whino (www.artwhino.com) on August 2nd from 6pm to midnight. The show is in collaboration with TAGUR and each artist was given one blank TAGUR sneaker to customize. In addition, each artist was also asked to create one original canvas piece to go along with the shoe for the show. The amount of artist in attendance will be legendary and you can check out the list below on the flyer for the show. If you are in the area it is a show that you can not miss and if you are out of town it is surely a show you want to drive down to. PaperMonster will also be in attendance handing out stickers to the crowd. Be sure to stop by!! Catch pictures of the custom shoe and canvas by PaperMonster below. Enjoy!!
