The Juxtapoz Magazine Stencil Issue Initiative Continues

July 14, 2010
There has been a huge amount of support for the Juxtapoz Magazine Stencil Issue Initiative which you can read more about here:
https://papermonster.wordpress.com/2010/07/12/juxtapoz-stencil-issue-initiative-please-re-post/
The entire goal is to produce an issue focusing on stencils as tools for art whether it be used by urban artists or fine artists to demonstrate the power of stencil art. Art Nouveau has a wonderful post on their site covering the story and how you can help support the project. Check it out here:

Juxtapoz Stencil Issue Initiative Please Re-Post!!

July 12, 2010
Welcome to my latest goal!!
I would LOVE to see Juxtapoz Magazine create a special Stencil Art Issue or Book!!
http://juxtapoz.com/
As PaperMonster I want nothing more than to continue to promote the use of stencils whether you are a stencil artists or just someone who wants to use stencils as tool in your paintings or home. I feel that there is no better time than today to document how artists all over the world are using stencils to share their messages or just create something beautiful. That is what has brought me to create this new goal to encourage Juxtapoz Magazine to create a Special Stencil Art Issue. In the past Juxtapoz has created special issues highlighting New York Graffiti, Street Art, and several other themes but never a Stencil Art Issue.
With your help hopefully we can make this a reality!!!
HERE IS WHAT YOU CAN DO!!
Send the following email to these Juxtapoz contacts:

Hello Juxtapoz Magazine
I am writing because I support PaperMonster’s initiative to work towards a special Juxtapoz Magazine Stencil Art/Graffiti issue or book concept similar to previous special issues/books that you have released on graffiti, street art issues, dark arts, and tattoo books. There is no better time than now to highlight the power and beauty that the stencil art movement has today. A Stencil Art/Graffiti Issue or Book Concept is a wonderful step forward for Juxtapoz Magazine as one of the leaders of art world. I am interested in this idea and hope that it is something we can see in the near future. Thank you for your time.

Gallery Guide: Metropolis Gallery Sept 4 Rob Sato and Joseph To Curated by David Choe

August 24, 2009
Metropolis Gallery (HERE) is setting up to have a wonderful show opening September 4th curated by David Choe (HERE) featuring works from Rob Sato (HERE) and Joe To (HERE). Metropolis is an awesome spot that brings together both a retail store and art gallery in one seamless concept/space. I had one of my first solo shows at Metropolis in late 2008 I could not believe the huge crowd that came by. I am sure this opening will also be huge. Metropolis Gallery can be found all over the new September issue of Juxtapoz Magazine alongside the Rob Sato and Joe To interview by David Choe. Catch some images below. This is my first of the many upcoming gallery guide post that I will be conducting to showcase some of my favorite upcoming art events and spaces that work extremely hard to put on some of the most beautiful shows.
