Photos: Art Whino Gallery Exhibition @ Art Basel Miami 2009 feat PaperMonster

December 16, 2009
Below you can find my final batch of photos from this year’s Art Basel Miami 2009. One of the biggest events that I had the pleasure to taking part in was Art Whino Gallery’s exhibition. Art Whino took over an entire location, creating a gigantic gallery setting with floating walls from the ceiling and the gallery even had its own bar, kitchen and pool. The quality of art was extremely high and many of the artists participating in the show were there to share their work with fans and the amazing crowds that stopped by the gallery. You can catch photos of the entire exhibition below.

Art Whino Gallery: Stencil Show Video

April 29, 2009

Several months back I had the opportunity to work alongside Art Whino Gallery to put together a stencil art show featuring some of the most talented stencil artists in the US and abroad. I recently ran into this video shot at the opening of the show. The video teaches 1 valuable lesson: When you sing your name (PaperMonster) to check volume levels…they will use it every time!! Lesson learned. Enjoy.

They both helped a ton with the install and brought some incredible art to the event. I can not thank them enough for how big of a help they were and how honored I felt to be working with them. It was a pleasure and they are not just amazing stencil artists, they are amazing people. You can check out their work here: or

About Yuri’s Night!!!::::::::::::::::::::::::
April 12, 1961 Russian Cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin embarked on the historic first manned space flight. Twenty years later on 12 April 1981, the US launched the first space shuttle flight. We think that’s something worth celebrating! Every year on April 12th Yuri’s Night parties are held all around the world; it’s like the St. Patrick’s Day or Cinco de Mayo for space.

Join us for an OUT OF THIS WORLD experience. Dress yourself in your best celestial attire (prizes awarded). See an art exhibition of other-worldly magnitude. Enjoy space-themed libations by Stoli Vodka. Experience heavenly bodies through cosmic burlesque performances. Space out with a Russian-style, post-punk band. Enjoy, and temporarily elevate yourself from an earthly existence.

Featuring space-themed artwork by: Alan Defibaugh, Arabella Proffer-Vendetta, Bryan C, Brandi Read, Chris Bishop, Jared Davis, Jason Snyder, Julie Steiner, Olivier Defaye, Papermonster, Scott G Brooks, Sean Welker, Shawn Huddleston, and Todd Gardner.

Performances by Miss Saturn, Gilded Lily Burlesque, L’il Dutch, and Landless Theatre Company.

Shane from Art Whino gave me the heads on this post via (Click Here) They Just posted photos of JoKa’s solo show opening and pictures of the group shows that are up. If you have not yet, you must take a look at their gallery or plan a day trip or something. The shows that are put together by the staff and degree of Art Whino artist including myself are incredible. I can’t believe they even had Mark Jenkins do a installation. Big things are on the way for Art Whino Gallery and they are sure to be a gallery to keep an eye on. Enjoy. To take a look at the photos follow the link below.
