Mark your calendars!! On Wednesday, Novermber 4th make sure to check out the site for a very special GIVEAWAY. I have been working on several custom commissions as well as some new series of paintings and themes in the studio. If you are interested in a commissioned piece feel free to contact v@papermonster.org and I will do my best to create something that you will surely be happy with. Each painting is always a one of a kind creation and can never be duplicated due to the intense collage work and other elements. Also, I want to give a huge thanks to Art Primo (HERE) for all of their support. I have been ordering paint from Art Primo since I began my stencil art career and you can always count on them to have and help you get what you need.
Jace (HERE) has been a great source of inspiration since I first saw his work in the book Street Logos several years back. Recently he painted in Madagascar with the people of Anakao for two weeks. Check out the video of his trip below.

A while back I posted some beautiful images sent over by Fiky in Indonesia of PaperMonster stickers by the coast. Since then, tragic earthquakes have done incredible damage and destruction within Indonesia including her home town of Padang. She was kind enough to send over some images to show the degree of damage and even some PaperMonster stickers that stand tall amongst the choas and rebuilding efforts. Please take time to read about the current state of Indonesia and the dramatic number of lives that have been taken reaching upwards of 700 people killed as a result of the earthquake. You can read more (HERE) and if you feel moved to donate and provide relief for Indonesia there is a very quick way to provide help to hundreds if not thousands through UNICEF. October’s PaperMonster’s Favorite things are all over the globe from France to your local lake and garbage can. Music and art go hand in hand and one of the most recent records that I absolutely love is Kid Cudi’s “Man One The Moon: The End Of Day” album. It is very inspirational and the music makes you want to create and stay motivated. Catch the insane collaborations between Kid Cudi and Ratatat. Followed by Cudi we have the Palace of Versailles (HERE) in France which is having some beautiful art exhibitions including work from Xavier Veilhan. I had the pleasure of visiting the palace in 2005 and I would love to go back. Finally I present you some coold designs and concepts including the fish bowl trash bags (HERE) (someone make these in the US) and some insane concepts for a water-car and electrical cars concepts which you can find (HERE). While I am working on new pieces for some upcoming exciting projects I wanted to share some progress and detail shots of what is to come in the future. One of the most exciting pieces that I am working on is for an upcoming group show titled “Go Get Your Shinebox” at Brooklynite Gallery (HERE) in November. I won’t give out too many details just yet but the artists list alone will blow you away. It is a show that you will not want to miss. Catch some images below:
I had the amazing opportunity to take part in the 2009 NY Art Book Fair signing copies of the Year One Rewind book by DirtyPilot (HERE) for the SCB Art Book Collection – Booth Z-01 alongside artists Cern, Daze, and Chris Stain. The fair had a huge amount of eye candy with books, zines, posters, and magazines featuring a wide range of art. I may be biased but our booth had the best collection of art books but maybe that is just my opinion. You can check out images of the fair below and even catch images of Martha Cooper signing copies of her books during the fair. Thanks to everyone who stopped by.
