This past weekends group show over at Jinxed Gallery was great!! JoKa brought together a beautiful range of talented artists together and all of the different styles and techniques meshed well together in one space. Thanks so everyone who came down to view the show and celebrate during the crazy hurricane winds and rain. Make sure to visit Jinxed Gallery’s (HERE) new location as they are currently moving to the Philadelphia art district.

Gallery Guide: Metropolis Gallery Sept 4 Rob Sato and Joseph To Curated by David Choe

August 24, 2009
Metropolis Gallery (HERE) is setting up to have a wonderful show opening September 4th curated by David Choe (HERE) featuring works from Rob Sato (HERE) and Joe To (HERE). Metropolis is an awesome spot that brings together both a retail store and art gallery in one seamless concept/space. I had one of my first solo shows at Metropolis in late 2008 I could not believe the huge crowd that came by. I am sure this opening will also be huge. Metropolis Gallery can be found all over the new September issue of Juxtapoz Magazine alongside the Rob Sato and Joe To interview by David Choe. Catch some images below. This is my first of the many upcoming gallery guide post that I will be conducting to showcase some of my favorite upcoming art events and spaces that work extremely hard to put on some of the most beautiful shows.

PHOTOS: Washington, DC Edgewood Mural Event

August 19, 2009
Saturday’s Edgewood Mural Event in Washington, DC organized by Albus Cavus (HERE) was a major success. Although I was not there to take part in the beautiful project I stumbled upon photos taken by Pati Gaitan (HERE) and Love Is Kind (HERE) and they are truly stunning. Some incredibly talented artists where present and raised the bar extremely high such as Will Kasso, Chor Boogie, Pose2 aka Maxx Moses, Decoy, Leon Rainbow, Nose, Delve, Luv1, Demer and many more local and international artists. The work and time put into the project is truly inspirational and every time I see photos like these they push me to create. I hope they do the same for you. Visit the mural if you are in the area:
