Below you can find my final batch of photos from this year’s Art Basel Miami 2009. One of the biggest events that I had the pleasure to taking part in was Art Whino Gallery’s exhibition. Art Whino took over an entire location, creating a gigantic gallery setting with floating walls from the ceiling and the gallery even had its own bar, kitchen and pool. The quality of art was extremely high and many of the artists participating in the show were there to share their work with fans and the amazing crowds that stopped by the gallery. You can catch photos of the entire exhibition below.

Several months back I had the opportunity to work alongside Art Whino Gallery to put together a stencil art show featuring some of the most talented stencil artists in the US and abroad. I recently ran into this video shot at the opening of the show. The video teaches 1 valuable lesson: When you sing your name (PaperMonster) to check volume levels…they will use it every time!! Lesson learned. Enjoy.
This upcoming MayDay, Friday May 1st, Art Whino Gallery (HERE) will be having a group show featuring works from artists on the theme of Globalization and World Issues. PaperMonster will be featured in this show and my piece focuses on many things such as the economy, fear of loss, and being resiliant in times of change or danger. Make sure to stop at the show to check the piece out for yourself. You can really sit down and look at this piece for quite some time and see all of the different stories.

I said that once and I still believe that if you want something bad enough you have to do whatever it takes to reach your goal and continue your passion.
The Stencil show over at Art Whino is only a couple days away and it is going to blow people away. If you go to any show by the end of this year you MUST stop by at this opening. There are hundreds of pieces and you can take pictures for days. It feels great to be so excited about this show and it will not disappoint. The install itself will be one giant playground. About Yuri’s Night!!!::::::::::::::::::::::::
April 12, 1961 Russian Cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin embarked on the historic first manned space flight. Twenty years later on 12 April 1981, the US launched the first space shuttle flight. We think that’s something worth celebrating! Every year on April 12th Yuri’s Night parties are held all around the world; it’s like the St. Patrick’s Day or Cinco de Mayo for space.
Join us for an OUT OF THIS WORLD experience. Dress yourself in your best celestial attire (prizes awarded). See an art exhibition of other-worldly magnitude. Enjoy space-themed libations by Stoli Vodka. Experience heavenly bodies through cosmic burlesque performances. Space out with a Russian-style, post-punk band. Enjoy, and temporarily elevate yourself from an earthly existence.
